6 Example, Priority Axis 2 Objective 2.1 improved support systems tailored for starts-ups and existing SMEs in remote and sparsely populated areas Objective: Improved entrepreneurial climate by facilitating the transfer and development of business support strategies and solutions Results sought: Removing barriers and bottlenecks for SMEs, encouragement of entrepreneurship especially among underrepresented groups Actions supported: Development of new support systems e.g. support over distance Main target groups and end users: Start-ups, existing SMEs, underrepresented groups Types of partners: Intermediary bodies dealing with start ups

9 Typical costs and number of partners Programme thresholds: 0,25 – 2,0 MEUR Average for the two first calls: 1,7 MEUR Number of partners: 5 – 15 full partners + 5 – 10 associated partners

10 Eligible applicants The Lead Partner has to be a public organisation (governt by public law) Partners can be:  National, regional, local public organisations  Universities, research institutes, etc.  Regional development organisations,priv/pub  NGOs, social enterprises, associations etc.  SMEs

11 Selection Criteria Contribute significantly to programme’s specific objectives Focus on topics of particular relevance for the Programme Area Demonstrate high level of trans-nationality Tangible outcomes; new products and services

12 Upcoming calls 3 rd Call: opens 30/9 and ends 30/11 2015 4 th Call: opens 8/1 and ends 11/4 2016 5 th Call: autumn 2016 For preparatory projects, no time limits
