A new strategic framework Political partnership –overcoming donor-recipient relationship –principles of African unity and Africa-EU interdependence –building on common values and objectives –a people centred partnership: beyond institutions! Objectives in the area of Governance –enhance dialogue and cooperation on democratic principles, rule of law, equitable access to legal systems, management of natural resources, fight against corruption, accountable management of public funds, protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms –promote effective multilateralism and joint work in UN Political partnership –overcoming donor-recipient relationship –principles of African unity and Africa-EU interdependence –building on common values and objectives –a people centred partnership: beyond institutions!
