4 Analysis of injury mortality in the European Union (ANAMORT) Task Force on Major and Chronic Diseases Interim report, covering Oct – Aug. 2006, published Dec. 06 Aims: evaluate quality & comparability of injury mortality statistics in Europe, produce validated results on causes of death by injury in Europe related to cause specific mortality longlist. Activities so far: survey on death certification (36 countries); started analysis of mortality data

System to Monitor short and long- term Morbidity to Improve Quality of Care and Patient-Safety for very low birth-weight Infants (EuroNeoStat) Task Force on Major and Chronic Diseases Progress report Comprehensive set of indicators of perinatal morbidity related to very low birth-weight, taking into account ECHI shortlist, PERISTAT, EUROCAT, Cerebral Palsy Register data collection during Pilot Phase (Website under development; indicator list available through project leader)
