2. 35 years have passed since the 1 st APCN held in Tokyo by Professor Oshima.It is now a perfect time to invite our colleagues back to Tokyo. We are planning special symposiums on three topics, 1.IgA nephropathy 2.Diabetic nephropathy 3.Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) This is a great opportunity for more researchers than ever before to learn about advances in nephrology from all over the Asian Pacific region. We would like to accept abstracts in all fields of nephrology, including inflammatory renal diseases, AKI and renal replacement therapy.

Student / Fellow / Trainee / Nurse / Allied Health Care Staff are requested to submit official documentation attesting to their status from their department chief or training director by e- mail or fax. Call for Abstract Period of Abstract Submission September 10 (Tue) – December 10 (Tue), 2013 Regulations of Submission ・ Language: English ・ Abstract body: 1) Maximum 400 words including title, author names and institutions 2) Title should be in capitals 3) Sub-headings should be included: [Introduction] – [Methods] – [Results] – [Conclusion] 4) Tables: can be included and must be cited in the abstract text 5) Figures: can be included and must be cited in the abstract text 6) References (optional): can be included in the abstract text or as a list following the abstract. The style of the references should follow standard journal format and must be cited within the abstract text by number or author/year. Best Abstract Awards Recipients of the best abstract awards will be invited to the 57 th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nephrology which will be held in July, 2014 in Yokohama, Japan. Details will be announced on the website accordingly.

5. APSN Travel Grant Award (tentative) Applicants from developing countries will be given higher priority than those from developed nations. Recipients of this award will be provided with a complimentary registration and a US$ 500 cash award. APSN Travel Grant Award applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria Applicants must be an APSN member Applicants must submit an abstract to the Congress Applicants must be 45 years of age or less Applicants must submit to the Congress Secretariat a letter of support from their unit Head The winners will be acknowledged at the time of abstract acceptance notification and grants will be awarded at the Gala Dinner. Need to be confirmed and approved by APSN Treasurer
