7  Proper Documentation  Do not skimp on content  Initial or sign each diary entry  If you are recording trucks – note truck numbers and companies  Make sure paper diaries have page numbers and easy reference back to diary.  Enter your diaries into Fieldmanager or Fieldbook  You can enter more than one contractor in each electronic diary.

12  Record Measurements on Statewide Spreadsheets (Pantry 2014) or in Daily Diaries (Green Sheet Examples)  Some Calculations May Need to be Drawn on Engineering Paper  Be as Accurate as Possible  Rounding Errors are Common  Have Someone Check Your Work  Keep ALL source documents

17  Traffic control should be inspected continuously, but more formally once a week.  Traffic Control Inspection Checklist in Pantry.  Federal Highways random check-ups check for documented proof of Traffic Inspections.
