2 What is P4P? Premise: If P2P networks know about the physical network, they can make smarter choices. Save ISP resources/money Improve P2P performance P4P is a protocol that allows ISPs to provide guidance to P2P systems to optimize delivery on their networks.

P4P Working Group Status Over 100 members Telco, Cable, Wireless, Satellite, Hardware, Live P2P, etc. Performed two highly successful field tests so far: March with Pando, Telefonica and Verizon. July with Pando, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon and others. More field tests underway Live Streaming P2P with Abacast and PPLive. And more... Working with IETF to produce industry standards Incorporating (see press release) P4P going into production
