Thank you for coming to Samsbiblestories.com and for taking a look at the lessons I have added. These lessons are the result of years of teaching Sunday school at an Elementary level. God has richly blessed me in being able to share His Word with thousands of young people. It is now my privilege to share them with you. Please feel free to use them with your class, wherever God has planted you. The only think I ask is that you drop me a line and let me know who you are and how the lessons are working for you. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. samueldselby@gmail God Bless you, Sam God Bless

So Naomi did what she could do for her sons. Naomi found wives for them from the women of Moab. The women’s names were: Ruth and Orpah.

So Naomi did what she could do for her sons. Naomi found wives for them from the women of Moab. The women’s names were: Ruth and Orpah. But then, one day, something else BAD happened. Naomi’s two sons both died. She was now left in a foreign place with her two daughters- in-law.

So Naomi makes a difficult decision. Naomi decides that she should return to her people in Bethlehem and that here daughters-in-law should return to their homes in Moab.

After much conversation… 14 At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her. 15 “Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.”

After much conversation… 16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the L ORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” 18 When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

But this, of course, is not the end of the story.

Naomi and Ruth return to Bethlehem where Ruth meets and marries a fine man named Boaz. Eventually they have children and one of their sons grows up and has a son named David, who becomes the King of Israel. And one day many generations in the future, in the line of Ruth, a baby would be born who would be named…
