Why JSIS Originally was Joint Synchrophasor work group –JSPWG? (JSWG was already taken) Can you say it? –Group saw a need to be able to address more than just Synchrophasors Why Subcommittee –Will likely need to establish several workgroups similar to DMWG, WAMS, –Large Scope
JSIS requests OC/PCC approval of the Joint Synchronized Information Subcommittee Charter.
WISP Update PDC RFI to be by March 1, 2010 WAN Services RFI by March 24, 2010 Situational Awareness Applications RFI by April 15, 2010 Project plans submitted Security plan being updated PMU Placement Criteria
NASPI Update Meeting June 8, 9 in Vancouver BC International activity meeting –A lot of activity world wide –Mostly for monitoring and post event analysis –Some interest in wide area control applications Next meeting in October will be review of status of all 10 Phasor Applications
RAPIR Final draft of Rapid Application of Phasors to Improve Reliability (RAPIR) will be presented to NERC OC and PC next week. Available for comment on NASPI website
