2. National Lutheran Schools Week Students, staff, parents and councils of Lutheran schools across Australia are invited to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week. A week of celebrating: the learning that occurs at your Lutheran school the learning that occurs at your Lutheran school the learning that occurs in Lutheran schools across Australia and around the world how it may be similar and different to your context the learning that occurs in Lutheran schools across Australia and around the world how it may be similar and different to your context

3. We give thanks for the opportunity to learn and for the learning that occurs in Lutheran schools. We give thanks for the people who nurture our learning at home, school, church and in the community.

4. Leader: Thanks God that there are so many great things for us all to learn and that learning is for all. Learning is for children at school, at home, everywhere we go. All: Learning is for all. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours. Now and for ever. Amen

13. And I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, so that you, together with all God’s people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ’s love. Yes may you come to know his love – although it can never be fully known – and so be completely filled with the very nature of God. To him who by means of his power working in us is able to so much more that we can ever ask for, or even think of: to God be the glory… Ephesians 3:17-20

14. Heavenly Father your knowledge is infinite. Thank you for creating us with the capacity to wonder and learn. We thank you for sending Jesus and his lessons of love and living. We pray for your blessing on our school, its students, staff and parents. We pray that you would inspire a love of learning within us. We pray for other Lutheran schools in Australia and the world. We thank you for the faith we share. We pray for private and public schools in our community and their students and teachers. We pray for the children and families of Sudan that they may have strength and peace to rebuild their lives. In your name we pray, Amen
