2. Relay For Life Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.

3. History of Relay for Life Originated in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Gordy Klatt Spent 24 hours and ran more than 83 miles. City of Destiny Classic 24-Hour Run Against Cancer.

4. International Relay For Life Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, New Zealand… Building survivorship, volunteerism, and advocacy efforts in their communities.

12. Car-Wash Fund raising for Relay For Life. Waffle house and Sonny’s BBQ. We made more than $200 each time. It’s the thoughts and motivations that matters!!!

13. Why Relay For Life? I have always enjoyed doing something meaningful for people. My boyfriend’s dad survived testicular cancer and is now only half the man he used to be. My aunt just recently removed a brain tumor.
