Lack of regular power supply affects the implementation and operation of the Single Window as generators are deployed most of the times. The effect of weather where strong winds deflect antennas on masts and thick clouds that break satellite transmission.
WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST COSTS? 5 Installation and maintenance of the telecommunication equipment. Running cost of generators with fluctuating prices of diesel. WHAT TYPE OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IS RECEIVED/NEEDED Nigeria Customs Service did not receive any technical assistance in the development of the Single Window platform. All the costs were borne by the government. Technical support needed to build capacity in the IT unit to further enhance effective management of the system.
