2  Welcome Back  In this unit, we will explore learning styles, multiple intelligences, and personality types.

3 Overview: Learn  This week, you will discover how you learn best. You can use this information to help tailor your study habits and make your learning style work for you, not against you.  Always maintain communication with your instructor and academic advisor.

6 Seminar: What's Your Learning Style?  In preparation for this week's seminar, take a look at your results for the LASSI assessment which you completed in Unit 3 and complete the Cornerstone reading assignment. In seminar, we will discuss learning styles, how you learn best, and how you can make your learning style "work" for you.  The authors of Cornerstone identify three different learning styles: Visual, Auditory, and Tactile. This video from Durham College in Canada explains the styles in a slightly different way (in the video, Tactile is referred to as Kinesthetic): view the video.

9 Question  What does the tactile (kinesthetic) learning style mean to you?

10 Question  Which learning style describes how you learn best? How do you think this style will help you in your career?

11 Question  Which is your least dominant learning style? How can you work to improve your learning through that style?

12 The Unit Scoop  During Unit 6, we discussed different learning styles and how to make them work for you. As you move forward in your studies, you can use what you have learned about your own learning style to make informed decisions about your study habits and future work environment.  Do not forget to take the Quiz to check your knowledge of what you have learned.
