Essential Question: How do individuals and groups of organisms Interact?

Population change: Additions to population. Birth, Move-in. Subtractions from population. Death, move out.

Population Density The number or individuals that live in a given area. Limiting Factors: Any factor that can limit the growth of a population. A high population will cause resources to be scarce.

Population Density Biotic Potential: population if under perfect conditions with no limiting factors. Carrying Capacity: The largest number of individuals an ecosystem can support. Over population results in lack of resources and an unhealthy environment.

Symbiotic Relationships habitat, the physical place where a population lives, shared by all. habitat A niche the unique way organisms survive, obtain food, shelter, and avoids danger.niche

Symbiotic Relationships Mutualism—two species in a community benefit from the relationship. Parasitism—one species (the parasite) benefits while another (the host) is harmed. Commensalism—one species benefits and the other is neither helped nor harmed.
