4. Activity #1 Brainstorm as many common dualities as you can think of (ex. Black/white, big/small, etc.). Remember: dualities are exact or near exact opposites Black (absence of color) is the opposite of white (all colors) Cat is NOT the opposite of dog even though people tend to be either “cat- people” or “dog-people”

5. Activity #2 Recalling Literature: Now brainstorm a list of 7 dualities found in either Big Fish or Romeo and Juliet. (They can come from your previous list if necessary).

7. Activity #4 Applying Analysis: What inferences (conclusions) can you make about the photograph from the dualities you listed?

9. Activity #6 Applying Analysis: Using the dualities you just listed, create a 5-7 sentence story about the image.

10. Activity #7 Self Reflection: Take a few minutes to think about yourself. Contemplate your hopes and desires, your likes and dislikes, your personality traits both good and not-so-good (your virtues and vices). Now, list at least 10, preferably more, dualities that you embody.
