The Puritans in America Puritans came to the New World by working for companies that had the right to create colonies.
They were allowed to create their own rules so long as they worked and became profitable.
Early American Colonies Jamestown 1607- Essentially a trading settlement with no specific religious design or purpose., Plymouth 1620 & Massachusetts Bay 1630- Founded by Puritans. They will dominate the regions politics for the next 100 years.
