Rewind ~ The Kind of Giving Vision Respond To : Our Finances (Treasure) Here is a thought: Never take something to offer to God that did not cost you anything.

What is Vision? a sight (mentally), that is, a dream, revelation, or oracle.

Pro 29:18 If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. – The MSG

The Kind of Giving That Vision Responds To ~Our Facts (Truth)~

John 4:4 Now he had to go through Samaria.

Here is a thought: There were many routes he could have taken, but the one he took was the most DIRECT.

John 4:7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?"

Here is the question of the day: What is keeping you from giving the Lord a drink?

Principle #1: Jesus will always come to you despite the prejudices and circumstances surrounding you.

John 4:8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) A side thought: It is amazing what you will eat when you are hungry!

John 4:9 The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

J. Vernon McGee: She’s rude, insolent, impudent, and impertinent.

Here is a thought: Circumstances, trials, tests can blind you to the grace that is upon you.

Here is another thought: Jesus never responded to her emotionally, but faithfully and factually.

Principle #2: Jesus uses truth to create visions and dreams. He speaks of things not yet seen.

John 4:10 Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."

Joh 4:10 Jesus answered, "If you knew the generosity of God and who I am, you would be asking me for a drink, and I would give you fresh, living water.“ – The Message

Here is a thought: Knowing the Lord requires knowing the truth about who he is and what he can do.

Principle #3: The Lord will never ask you for something He has not already prepared to give to you.

John 4:11 The woman said, "Sir, you don't even have a bucket to draw with, and this well is deep. So how are you going to get this 'living water'?

Contrast time: Gen. 27.17 - 20 Gen 24:17-20 The servant ran to meet her and said, "Please, can I have a sip of water from your jug?" She said, "Certainly, drink!" And she held the jug so that he could drink. When he had satisfied his thirst she said, "I'll get water for your camels, too, until they've drunk their fill." She promptly emptied her jug into the trough and ran back to the well to fill it, and she kept at it until she had watered all the camels.

Here is a thought: Whenever you going through some things in your life, there is a tendency to become very protective of what you have. Simple terms, we don’t like to share.

Principle #4: Be careful, circumstances and situations can draw out what is already in you.

John 4:12 Are you a better man than our ancestor Jacob, who dug this well and drank from it, he and his sons and livestock, and passed it down to us?"

Here is a warning: Situations in your life can make you very suspicious, but that can cause you not to recognize truth when you hear it.

The spirit of the woman is among us: We are questioning the Lord when we should be trusting the Lord.

John 4:13-14 Jesus said, "Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again and again. Anyone who drinks the water I give will never thirst--not ever. The water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life."

Principle #5: Never trust what you cannot see unless God is doing the talking.

John 4:15 The woman said, "Sir, give me this water so I won't ever get thirsty, won't ever have to come back to this well again!"

Praise Break: Thank God for the patience He has had with you over this past year.

Principle #6: You will never see the spiritual with your eye on the natural.

John 4:16 He said, "Go call your husband and then come back." Truth time:

Here is a thought: The thing must be revealed in order to be healed. He did not come to judge her, but to deliver her.

Joh 4:17-18 "I have no husband," she replied. Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true."

Exo 6:13 But GOD again laid out the facts to Moses and Aaron regarding the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he again commanded them to lead the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.

1Co 15:34 Think straight. Awaken to the holiness of life. No more playing fast and loose with resurrection facts. Ignorance of God is a luxury you can't afford in times like these. Aren't you embarrassed that you've let this kind of thing go on as long as you have?

2Pe 1:16 We weren't, you know, just wishing on a star when we laid the facts out before you regarding the powerful return of our Master, Jesus Christ. We were there for the preview! We saw it with our own eyes:

The Kind of Giving That Vision Responds To… …Is Facts (Truth)!

Principle #7 If you are ever going to see vision and dreams…you are going to have to tell the truth.

John 4:23 But the time is coming--it has, in fact, come--when what you're called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. "It's who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That's the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship.

Principle #8: Vision is seen through worship and the pursuit of truth.

I want to worship God. I want to see vision. I want to know truth. I want to walk in faith. I want to trust God. I want to the living water.

I am going to worship God. I am going to see vision. I am going to know truth. I am going to walk in faith. I am going to trust God. I am going to drink living water.

I will speak it! I will declare it! I will sing it! I will shout it! I will stand on it! I will finish it!

Grab it! Go get it! Bring it down! Reach for it! Take hold of it! Do it now!
