Breakdown… The Chorus and the Verses

The Chorus I’ll be sailing on out into Bermuda blue Compass needle breaks like the heart I gave to you I’ve been laying down in the devil’s lair Sailing into the sun, I’ll be baptized there

I can relate  I also have a struggle of faith  I’m searching for the real meaning  Am I a Christian or an Atheist?

My song… Sometimes you know what you feel sometimes you’re not sure You follow the rest not knowing what will be in store Could this be the truth or just some petty folklore Is there one universal source of all rich and poor How could they make you think a certain way Its a choice who you are and how your view will sway But if you’re wrong the ultimate price you’ll have to pay Eternal fire not resolved by a northern day Verse 1: Verse 2: Chorus: You’ll follow when you see But now you can’t believe Still you chose to stay Will you bring yourself to pray

Verse 1 Have you ever been alone, fighting your own war Someone stole the life from you and now they’re back for more Your heart is on the floor beating out of control Oh’ I don’t want this anymore Have you ever been alone, fighting your own war Someone stole the life from you and now they’re back for more Your heart is on the floor beating out of control Oh’ I don’t want this anymore Verse 1

A different feel  The verses both take a different standpoint than the chorus  More directly about a person than God  Still a feeling of being lost

Verse 2 In matters of the heart one must try to fill it up With love and grace you’ll start a fire immerse your wounds and douse them up Pick your heart up off the floor, hold it gently now and go To the place you were meant to know In matters of the heart one must try to fill it up With love and grace you’ll start a fire immerse old wounds and douse them out Pick your heart up off the floor, hold it gently now and go To the place you were meant to know Verse 2

The inspiration  The second verse has hope  The speaker is finding his/her way  Moving on…
