5 Joint Command and Staff Programme (JCSP) 45 weeks, Majors/Lieutenant-Commanders and Lieutenant-Colonels/Commanders Joint Reserve Command and Staff Programme (JRCSP) 21 weeks, combined DL and Residence, Majors/Lieutenant-Commanders and Lieutenant-Colonels/Commanders Joint Staff Operations Programme (JSOP) 2 weeks, Captains/Lieutenant (N) and Majors/Lieutenant-Commanders Advanced Military Studies Programme (AMSP) 14 weeks, Lieutenant-Colonels/Commanders and Colonels/Captains (N) National Security Studies Programme (NSSP) 25 weeks, General/Flag officers, selected Colonels/Captains (N) and civilian equivalents Executive Leader Programme/(Bridging) (ELP) one week, new General/Flag Officers, appointed Senior Chiefs and DND/government senior executives Canadian Security Studies Programme (CSSP) two weeks, Lieutenant-Colonels/Commanders and Colonels/Captains (N), civilian equivalents Programmes Offered - all programmes joint army, navy, air force, and with international participation

6 The entire programme of study is now focused on joint operations, particularly at the Joint Task Force Level. Officers arriving at the College will have the necessary understanding of their respective environments and our focus will be on what each of the Service Environments bring to the joint effort. 7 It is about teaching officers how to make reasonable decisions based on imperfect information and allowing them to explore diverse perspectives on issues in order to broaden their education and thinking skills. Critical Thinking

Dr Chris Madsen – Naval Historian -Areas of expertise: Maritime strategy and history; military law and LOAC; industrial mobilization; operational planning and logistics.
