On Saturday the rowing team traveled to Ohio to compete at the Dillion invitational. The freshman eights each raced strong races showing a lot of potential for future spring racing. The 2nd and 3rd boats raced in the 2nd eight category finishing 2nd and 3rd in a great inters quad battle. We raced a JV four that had a long fought battle to take 3rd. The 1st varsity eight finished 2nd to Upper Arlington by.6 a of a second. We will race most of the same teams in 3 weeks for the regional championship

This is a reminder to students taking AP exams that the mandatory AP Preadministration sessions will be held on today, Monday April 20th in the DiNardo Lecture Hall. The Preadministration session for Juniors will take place during 2nd period. The Preadministration session for Seniors will take place during 9th period. Seniors in AP Italian or AP Spanish should report to the 2nd period Preadministration session

Students from the AP Human Geography class and GCI attended a talk by Peter Hessler last night. The Pittsburgh Contemporary Writers Series is sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh Writing Program. Hessler is an award winning non-fiction author whose previous work centered on China before shifting to Egypt.

DANCING WITH THE VIKINGS The third annual Dancing with the Vikings will be held Friday, May 1 st at Central Catholic’s McGonigle Theater. It will begin at 7 o’clock. Attend to watch some of your fellow students teach some Central Vikings a few dance moves. All funds will go toward The Guatemala Club and Central’s Haiti Fund. Admission is $5. Tickets will be sold next week during lunches. Bring some friends! It is a great event for an even greater cause!
