2 Joint TFE-SEWG meeting, JET, 08/07/09 M Stamp 2 KT1 (vis) upgrade for inner wall poloidal source profile KT3 upgrade for complete outer divertor source profile KS8 upgrade for inboard/outboard determination (Zeeman splitting) KS3 upgrade improves our horizontal and divertor spectroscopy KL1 (vis) will give useful inner and outer wall source information KL11 will give useful inner and outer divertor source information KL7 may give useful (fast camera) source information KT4, 7 visible views into divertor Coupled to PM-tubes, Czerny-Turner Spectrometers, EOS, COS Lots of new optical fibres (Fibreware, Si-Si, NA=0.2) already installed Diagnostic coverage

4 Joint TFE-SEWG meeting, JET, 08/07/09 M Stamp 4 New Systems in Spectrometer Room (SR) KSRC (new High Throughput spectrometer + Andor CCD camera), like KS3A KSRD (new 1-m Czerny-Turner spectrometer + Andor CCD camera), like KS3B KSRE (EOS – Echelle spectrometer with Andor CCD camera) KSRF,G,H,J,K,L,M,N (COS – compact spectrometers) KSRP (0.3-m Czerny-Turner spectrometer + JW CCD camera/PM-tubes) 24 PAs (polychromator assemblies) Each PA is single fibre input, beamsplitters and 4 interference filters to 4 PM-tubes to CODAS UXD7 (8-channel, 16-bit, 200kHz recording). 4 UXD7 available for campaign C27.

13 Joint TFE-SEWG meeting, JET, 08/07/09 M Stamp 13 Great improvements to wall components observed Ready for commissioning and data collection in C27: KS8 fibre to EOS KS3 inner divertor array to PA, 1-m spectrometer, HTS Hopefully also some COS channels with KS3, KS8 and KT7 fibres (and maybe KT4 visible fibre) The rest are planned for after Shutdown: KT3 upgrade KT1 visible KL11 periscope KS8 full array of fibres KS3 outer divertor fibre array Summary
