7 Pending Changes Web and list services –Current hosting via Allan Doyle with EOGEO will end. –Planned replacement to be host via DreamHost. Similar services for web and list services Anticipate no impact to users Migration being planned

WITT 24 9 DNS Status These relate to prefixes to ceos.org and to where the url xxx.ceos.org points Active xxx urls –wgiss currently -> eogeo server –idn -> gcmddev.gsfc.nasa.gov –data -> a server at QinetiQ last updated 2001 –dlr -> www.dfd.dlr.de –ics -> infeo1.esrin.esa.int –wgcv -> trapeze.gsfc.nasa.gov –jaxa -> stage.tksc.jaxa.jp –www -> stage.tksc.jaxa.jp
WITT 24 11 Email List Services Most lists set up as Subscriber Only Only people who subscribe to the mailing list can post mail to the list. –check of email address Subscriber request are approved by Moderator None subscriber post must be approved by Moderator and two are Open lists Anyone can send mail to list. To use email@example.com
WITT 24 13 Open Lists to use firstname.lastname@example.org SPAM filter has greatly reduced the volume of SPAM being sent to list moderators and list managers. We monitor for false positives, but we may miss your message and your message will not be posted. Let us know if this happens. If there are other lists that need to be set up let us know. WITT 24 14 Request for List Members To ensure accuracy in the email lists Review the members of the lists at wgiss.ceos.org/witt/members.pdf wgiss.ceos.org/witt/members.pdf Or the lists with members or at wgiss.ceos.org/witt/lists.pdf wgiss.ceos.org/witt/lists.pdf Mark up paper list that is being passed around. If you have changes give to Lyn or send email to email@example.com@wgiss.ceos.org
WITT 24 17 Request When replying to a email from a WGISS list, review the TO, CC email address and remove the email address that contain bounces, such as, (firstname.lastname@example.org)

WITT 24 24 Reminder Process for Page Updates Retrieve recent copy of web page Make changes and edits –Examine locally via browser Send updated pages to firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com When webmaster notifies you that changes have been made, verify via web site Notify appropriate chair of changes Chair should examine and validate changes

Also, must approve posting by non-members Moderators will receive email something like.
