Types of Mixtures 8 th Grade Science
A Mixture is… A combination of 2 or more substances that are not chemically combined.
Heterogeneous Mixture The prefix: "hetero"- indicates difference. The substances are not uniformly mixed (can pull pieces out).
Homogeneous Mixture The prefix: "homo"- indicates sameness Uniform distribution within the mixture (cant pull stuff out).
