OCLC Online Computer Library Center CJK Cataloging Technical Issues Parallel Records Clarification Do not create Hybrid records by using the linked 880 field with English data Case of WINE records – Enhance them into MARC 21 record eng as language of cataloging with enrichment data Parallel Records (TB #250) is applicable to input records if they are meaningful enough for local users – still require 880 romanized data fields Parallel records search may take more time/cost as 040 $b is not indexed
