3 Econ at WCHS Taught as an interdisciplinary course since 1998 Government Economics is a required course for Sophomores. On block scheduling students spend ½ semester in each course (Govt./Econ.) STEPS and Economics CC used to design course. Business teachers teach the economics portion 3 Business Teachers are Highly Qualified Teachers in SS-per NCLB

4 2004/2005 School Year Hybrid Schedule implemented Rationale: Students in core content courses when taking KCCT Econ and Govt will meet for 45 minutes each day all year. Econ will meet one semester and Govt the other. Restructuring of Econ course schedule, syllabus, teaching methods Honors & ESL Econ will be offered New Material opportunities NCLB
