16 HELP ME GROW Why we do it... A new mom, new to our country, delivered premature twins with a diagnosis of extremely low birth weight! The mom’s barriers at referral included language, lack of knowledge to available resources, and inability to function productively within her community. All that on top of the fact that she was a new mom caring for her special needs children! Our role with this family was extremely important for her obtaining the knowledge, courage, and dedication to withstand this new stage of life for her family…. Today the family is doing spectacular! Mom has learned to drive; She is receiving her viable resources such as medical, WIC, and of course Developmental Disability Services for her children!

17 HELP ME GROW Why we do it... …and the twins, they are now sitting up alone, observant and aware of sounds & their surroundings, even starting to walk! This mom has been so inspired and humbly grateful to her experience that she has been a leader for her own country. Sharing and modeling via webcam all of her new knowledge, self-sufficiency, empowerment, parental skills, and development awareness
