5 Za svako dete: zdravlje, obrazovanje, jednakost, zaštita PROJECT ACTIVITIES Identification of children at risk & determination of a risk level Provision of psychosocial support on spot Organisation of case management conferences by CSW Development of the individual protection plans in the best interest of the child w/ clear division of roles and responsibilities Implementation of IPPs and the follow up: Provision of counselling services to the child/parents/family/referrals to other services providers Mobilising local community resources if required in particular case Evidencing- disaggregated data base in CSW- and progress monitoring Awareness raising on child rights in local communities

6 Za svako dete: zdravlje, obrazovanje, jednakost, zaštita RESULTS 2001-2003 3170 children assessed & supported 67% were newly identified children Risk level: 35% high, 45%medium, 20% low Gender: 54% male, 46% girls 52% urban/48% rural Age: 7% babies less than 12 months, 1-5y= 19%, 6-10y =33%, 11-15 =31% 16-19 =10% 8,467 home visits conducted

7 Za svako dete: zdravlje, obrazovanje, jednakost, zaštita EVALUATION- external Quantitative: Statistically significant difference of the starting and closure risk level at 0,01 Qualitative: perception of families and children on MTs work (random sample of families/children pulled out from the CSW data base) indicated the following: Average number of repeated home visits= 4,8 Satisfaction of MTs work- average grade 4,23 on the 1-5 scale 75% of the respondents prioritised the counselling services provided by MTs as the most valuable

8 Za svako dete: zdravlje, obrazovanje, jednakost, zaštita EVALUATION- internal Outreach capacity of social protection services strengthened Model of provision of individualized and comprehensive care and protection is set up Service delivery and organization of social protection upgraded Multidisciplinary approach in child protection The experience of cooperation between GO and NGO sectors -advantages of the coordinated joint action of complementary sectors for enhanced child protection
