One does not mature into the other. Involves high levels of creativity. Does contain a subjective element. Is influenced by the social, political, cultural, and religious milieu of the geographical and temporal setting in which it is practiced. Does not and cannot answer all possible questions. Does not seek to provide absolute proof or absolute truth.

14 Nature of Evolution Scientific Fact: When considered as change through time. Scientific Hypothesis: When considered as inference based on specific evidence. (eg. Common ancestry) Scientific Theory: When considered as an explanation of observed biological phenomena (eg. Changes in populations over time explained by natural selection)

15 And, Finally EOGs notwithstanding, our time in science will enable us to see it as an open-ended, on- going, dynamic, self-revising pursuit of a better understanding of the natural world!
