Change from a $10.00 dollar bill If you spend $1.85 at the ice cream store, and you pay with a $10.00 dollar bill, you get $8.15 in change. Notice that the digits in your change are the same as the digits in the amount you spent? There are five other amounts you could spend and get change with the same digits.
