7 OSID – Principle of Operation
An active emitter with wide beam LEDs transmit 2 different wavelengths, IR and UV, to the Imager Intelligent software locates the specific pixels on the multi pixel CMOS imager illuminated by the uniquely coded emitter Relative strengths of the 2 wavelength signals are compared to detect smoke and discriminate against nuisance alarm particulates Only imager software tracks building movement without any need for controlled motor drives Emitter Obstruction Dust Smoke Imager UV beam IR beam Strictly confidential
