Once the first area is corrected, if there are any other invalid areas, the error message will be displayed one at a time for each invalid area. Shift Change under CAD utilities has been changed so when you press F1 to put a Unit on Duty, a window opens up with the Unit-s Personnel and Areas to be changed. Also changed the Shift Change program to use “CAD” instead of “UTL” for color Pattern/module Initials. If you do not enter Areas while putting the Unit In-Service and hit the OK button and there is an Invalid area you will see the following message When doing a shift change for E-CAD, if you have * in the Unit’s shift field, it will be reset to the shift that you are putting on duty. Shift Changes Changed E-CAD Dispatcher to validate the Areas that are entered when putting a Unit In Service/On Duty. If an invalid area is entered then this message is displayed.

ENTER ADVISORY, CLICK OK Call type advisories Advisories can be linked to a call type. Once the location and call type fields are entered, the Call Type Advisory will appear. The following is an example of a call type advisory attached to the call type Lock In. To retrieve the information after the call has been placed in pending or active queue, select the call and press F4. If the call is in the pending queue, when selected for dispatching, the advisory will display again. Implementation of Call Type Advisories E-CAD---Utilities----Priorities---New or Change Call Type Advisories and SOP’s can both be linked to the call type.

The E-Cad dispatcher and Complaint Taker programs have been changed so if the Call Location is changed to a Common Place that the Caller’s Phone Number will only be updated with the Phone Number of the Common Place if the Caller’s Phone Number is blank. The Business and Business Phone number can now be entered or changed through Dispatcher and Complaint Taker. A Floor Number can be added in the Dispatch screen and Calls for Service module when the Apartment Number has been filled in. When using Intersections for the Location with E-CAD complaint taker or dispatcher the Intersection Description will be displayed in the Remarks if they are blank.

When the dispatcher gets to the unit recommendation portion of the entry screen, if escape is pressed, the dispatcher will be asked: “Are you sure you want to cancel the unit recommendation?” If yes is chosen, the call will be queued on the pending side. If no is selected, the recommendation screen will remain. If you have more than one being recommended and you dispatch the first one and then hit the escape key, and answer the question yes, only the units not dispatched will be cancelled. Any units already dispatched will remain on call. If these were not the units you wanted, do a group clear and enter 99 for the disposition to return the call to the pending queue. The screen above shows the entered call as the dispatcher receives the unit recommendations. The right portion of the screen now shows several actions that can be taken by the dispatcher;  F1 – Send all units  F2 – Premise History  F3 – Address Advisory (Business lookup inquiry)  F4 – SOP/ Call advisory  F5 – Narrative  F6 – People/Vehicle  F 8 – View Associated Bolo  ESC – Exit Recommendation If the buttons are grayed out, there are no associated records for that location. The red line at the bottom reminds the dispatcher of actions that can be taken during dispatch. If you want the recommended unit, hit enter to accept, that moves the next unit into the blue box. If you want a different unit not recommended, type the new unit in the white box and hit enter. Then the next unit moves into the blue box. If you want to skip that unit, hit tab. Or after the third one moves into the blue box, hit escape. Unit Recommendation

When a new call is initiated from either Complaint Taker or Dispatcher, once the location is entered, if there is a business related to that address, a new button will appear called View Business. This button stays current throughout the completion of the call. It allows the dispatcher to access the business files for emergency contacts, preplan, hazmat, etc. You can either press the button, use Alt V, or F3 for the business lookup inquiry. Once in the business lookup inquiry, the first two pictures in the directory belonging to that address will appear. Fax number has been added to the Business Lookup Inquiry. View Business Button

When an on-scene call type is entered by the mobile, the Unit’s Active Call will be flagged by a yellow asterisk on the dispatcher’s screen, indicating a change. The E-CAD dispatcher was changed to allow for an On-Scene call type to be entered. When you bring a call down for a change, there is a new Any Change code, the letter ‘O”. By entering this you will be able to enter an On Scene Call Type. There is also the letter B. By entering this you will be able to enter/change a business name and phone number.

If the User clicks the View CFS Details button while viewing a Unit’s History, the related CFS record will be displayed. If the call has not been transferred the message “Record not on File” will appear. If the Unit History record is not related to a call, then the message “unit History not associated with a call” will appear The ability was added to view CFS details from doing a Unit History from the E-CAD dispatcher.

When the dispatcher enters W in the status field of an active call and the report number is assigned, a notification will be written to the event log with unit id, report number, date, time and dispatcher. This notification will display in unit history From within E-CAD dispatcher, when a Report Number is assigned by pressing “W” at the unit status field or when a Disposition requires a Report, all of the related units for the call have their history updated with the report number. It used to only update the unit that cleared with a disposition. or in the event log in dispatch inquiries. Report Number

Vehicle and Persons have been updated in Calls for Service, E-Cad, and Mobile to allow for the address and phone number to be entered for the driver or person records. Calls for Service; Vehicles/Persons After a Bolo has been added or changed, the user has the option to broadcast or rebroadcast the Bolo. If user says yes, then everyone, with the exception of the person who entered/changed it, that is logged into messaging will receive a new message which includes the bolo. On the Mobile, the Bolo will show up with yellow background and white foreground colors. Bolos The Purge Premise History has been enhanced to allow the user to pick a Date Range or Specific Address. Each record can still be verified. Purge History Created a new Dispatch Report called ”Wrecker Log by Disposition”. It prints the Wrecker Log by Date Range and Disposition, if the Disposition equals AC, RC or NA. A new E-CAD report was created. It is called On-Duty/Off Duty Report. It prints all personnel for a date range and prints the Personnel’s Name, Unit, On/Off Duty type, Date and Time. Reports
