General Safety Rules 8.It is suggested that you wear glasses rather than contact lenses. إلبس النظارات العادية بدلا من العدسات اللاصقة 8.Never put anything into your mouth during a lab experiment. لا تتذوق ولا تدخل أي شيء في فمك 8. Never “horse around” or play practical jokes in the laboratory. عدم اللعب والتدافع داخل المختبر

5. B. Glassware Safety 1.Chipped or cracked glassware should not be used. Show it to the teacher. لا تلبس النظارات الواقية المكسور، أخبر معلمك عنها 2.When pouring liquids into glassware, make sure the container you are pouring into is resting on a table at least a handbreadth from the edge. تأكد ان الوعاء الزجاجي الذي تصب فيه المواد الكيميائية بعيدا عن حافة الطاولة

Glassware Safety 4.Pour down a glass stirring rod to prevent liquids from splattering. أسكب المواد الكيميائية على عصا التحريك الزجاجية الموضوعة داخل انبوب الاختبار أو الكأس الزجاجي حتى لا تتطاير الواد الكيميائية 5.If a piece of glassware gets broken, do not try to clean it up by yourself. Notify the teacher. أخبر المعلم عن المواد الزجاجية التي انكسرت ولا تحاول تنظيف ذلك بنفسك

Chemical Safety 1.Wear protective goggles and a lab apron whenever heating or pouring hazardous chemicals. لبس النظارات الواقية ومعطف المختبر عندما تسخن أو تسكب مواد كيميائية 2.Never mix chemicals together unless you are told to do so (and then only in the manner specified). لا تخلط مواد كيميائية معا إلا حسب تعليمات المعلم 3. Never taste any chemicals. لا تتذوق أي مادة كيميائية

8. C. Chemical Safety 4.Never pour water into a concentrated acid. Acid should be poured slowly into water. لا تصب الماء على الاحماض المركزة، الحمض المركز يُضاف إلى الماء وليس العكس وبشكل بطيء عندما نريد تخفيفه

9. E. Heating Safety 1.Let burners and hotplates cool down before touching them. Test to see if they are cool enough by bringing the back of your hand close to them. لا تلمس الاشياء الساخنة، اتركها حتى تبرد، تأكد أنها باردة وذلك بتقريب يدك منها دون لمسها، فإذا شعرت بالحرارة فاعلم أنها لا زالت ساخنة 2.Use tongs and/or protective gloves to handle hot objects. استخدم الملقط لحمل الاشياء الساخنة أو الكفوف الخاصة بذلك

10. First Aid Injury: The eyes To do: Flush eyes immediately with plenty of water for several minutes. If a foreign object is lodged in the eye, do not allow the eye to be rubbed. في حالة إصابة العين إذهب إلى مغسلة العين ثم إغسل العين وهي مفتوحة لعدة دقائق دون حكها أو فركها

11. First Aid Injury: Spills on the skin To do: Flush with large quantities of water. For acid spills apply baking soda solution. For base spills apply vinegar or boric acid. اسكب كمية كبيرة من الماء على جلدك الذي لامسه مواد كيميائية، إذا كان حمض قوي استخدم مسحوق الخبيز وإذا كان قاعدي استخدم الخل.
