1. Chapter 7 Circle Gauge Tool Synopsis This chapter will guide you through how to setup a VPM program to inspect a AA battery before it is capped and sealed. The Circle Gauge Tool can be used as a locate or as an inspection tool.

2. 1-Launch VPM 2-Connect to the emulator or live camera (Refer to chapter 1--A) 3-Load the Indicator images into the File Camera (Refer to chapter 1--B) The file names are 01_Indicator_Pass, 02_Indicator_Fail, etc. 4-Click on the orange IMPACT icon.

3. 1-Click on Create New Vision Program. Notice the icon that is orange. 2-Click New Program.

4. 1-Name the program Indicator.vp

5. 1-Open the Measurement tool drawer by clicking on it. 2-Drag and drop the Circle Gauge Find Tool into the program tree. 3-Be sure to start with the best Image.

6. 1-Click step 2 2-Setup as shown

7. 1-Click on Step 3 2-Scroll through images and note pass/fail results 3-These are the default settings. In this case the battery passes and fails correctly.

8. 1-Add Pass/Fail Tool 2-Add and configure Discrete I/O Tools 3-Scroll through images
