3 What is “Sex Ed”? The process of acquiring information and forming attitudes and beliefs about sex, sexual identity, relationships, and intimacy.

7 Sex Ed in the state of GA GA state law requires sex ed Abstinence must be taught as the only completely effective protection against unplanned pregnancy, STDs and HIV/AIDS Teaching about contraceptives is not required

8 Myth or Fact? 1.Abstinence-only education reduces teen pregnancy. 2.Comprehensive education delays sexual initiation and reduces number of sexual partners. 3.Abstinence-only programs reflect the values of the American majority. 4.Contraception is unreliable and ineffective. 5.There is no federal funding available for comprehensive sex ed programs.
