For these, a higher score indicates a better performance. Z-scores were truncated at –4.0 to exclude extremely deviant scores. Mean summary scores were then calculated as the arithmetic means of the individual scores obtained for each cognitive domain (i.e., means of the aforementioned z-scores). The global cognitive score was calculated as the arithmetic mean of scores for the four cognitive domains.
