1. My name is Lyric. I am eleven years old. I am the oldest child of three. My hobbies are swimming, Netball, Rock climbing and Flippa ball. I absolutely LOVE chocolate and lollies. My family has a cute lab x mastiff. I was born on 19 August 2000. When I grow up I want to help people in poor country’s like Africa and help them have a happy life.

2. Here I am with my Hang glider. Our class read a story by Maurice Gee called Half men of O, and it had hang gliders in it so we had to design our very own hang glider. I made mine out of bamboo sticks, a pillow case and a piece of raincoat material. Then we sowed it all up. I found it very fun and creative.

3. This is me at Kelly sports. I was learning how to dribble and play basket ball. We got taught how to play lots of different sports at Kelly sports. My favourite sport was soccer because we got to shoot goals and do all these cool activities. A couple of weeks ago Kelly sports set up a Rugby World Cup for our school. All the activities we played were really fun and they included rugby.

4. At camp in 2011 we took a trip up to Auckland. We went to the Museum, the Zoo and kelly Tarltons. We got to sleep at Kelly Tarltons and have a great time there. We got to explore the place and do all these different types of activities. I really enjoyed myself.

5. I was boiling hot feeling like I was going to burst. Running the cross country made you feel good once you have finished the course. My throat was really dry and it was a bit hard to breath. I tried to jog at the beginning and then sprint at the end but it was really hard. I really wanted to just drop to the ground and relax my leg muscles for a bit but I wanted to keep going and get it over and done with. Finally I got to the finish line and I was super happy.

6. This is me and my puppet Cora. I made and designed her in Mrs Peters class. My best part was making the clothes because you got to choose different types of materials and design clothes with your imagination. I also liked sewing by myself.

7. This year we had a load of activities joined together that formed Top School. Every school in the Bay of Plenty competes against each other. My favourite activity was this bungee game. All the activities were very fun and I enjoyed the lot of them.

8. This is Adrian our waterline teacher. A couple of weeks ago Adrian came and taught us about how precious water is. She told us lots of interesting facts about water. I enjoyed learning about water because we learnt different ways to save it.
