HANDS consists of 2 parts: 1.The HANDS mobile software that runs on a Windows Mobile Smartphone and is used by the pupil. 2. A web-based application; CoMe, used by the child’s teachers, Caretakers and parents that makes it possible to customise the smartphone to the pupils needs.

The primary functionalities in the HANDS mobile are designed to help manage time (The Handy Interactive Persuasive Diary, HIPD), Support in the execution of tasks involving social skills and life Skills (The Personal Trainer) and for customisation(The Individualiser). These three functions in CoMe let you modify the Level of cognitive support and the look and feel of the HANDS mobile whenever you want on the computer. You can then the Footprints of the child’s use with the report function. All together they give teachers new possibilities when working with children with an autism diagnosis.

HANDS mobile is available everywhere and can turn the child’s focus on to how to solve situations in the most beneficial ways. Whether it is an everyday task like cooking, shopping, taking a bus or anger management. Independence is an important attribute to foster and HANDS is most Beneficial for such situations.

HANDS can assist with time management as it consists of a number of ways to support individuals with an autism diagnosis: Individually adaptable dayplan, Weekplan organised by parents and teachers together, easily customisable minutewatches.

Distances that can be troublesome to pass but eased by the use of tunnels. 2.Tunnels have a subject that may be important to you (called a scenario) and a number of steps that shows you how to solve the scenario. 4.Tunnels durate typically 5-15 minutes. 5.Tunnels are written by individual authors and differ in writing style and quality. 6.Tunnels are available in 3 levels: 1.
