5. Water Quality Sampling 100ml of water collected from three stations around the lake Sample to be collected at outer edge of littoral shelf –Sample bottle on cane pole Subsamples composited for pond Samples frozen and collected monthly for analysis

6. Ecological Condition Visual scan of pond from photo station Fill out data sheet –Do you see any wildlife? Birds, turtles, fish –How does the vegetation along the shoreline look Healthy, sparse, dead Visual inspection of shoreline at water sampling location Fill out data sheet –How many aquatic animals do you see? –How many different types of animals do you see? Aquatic insects, tadpoles, fish, snails –Do you see algae present?
