2 Paris, France

3 Reformation, Renaissance and, European Exploration in Paris Although Paris didn’t seem to play a huge role during the reformation, they still however played a major role in the European Exploration. This was due to its location, because it is also located near the water. For Paris, during the 16 th and 17 th century, the Renaissance uplifted their cultural status. The Italian Renaissance was born into a French Renaissance in Paris due to their fine arts and culture. The Italian Renaissance, however was discovered by French Kings.

4 Paris, France Cites to See Important cites to visit in Paris, France would include the top three cites (from left to right) #1 The Eiffel Tower #2 The Louvre Museum #3 The Notre Dame Cathedral. All these cites are extremely important to the reformation and renaissance of Paris due to their great visualization and product of Paris’s fine arts and architecture.

5 Madrid, Spain

6 Reformation, Renaissance, and European Exploration in Madrid Madrid played a very important role in the European Exploration; due to Spain’s huge wrap up in the Reconquista. The reconquista was the reconquoring of the territories that were lost during Muslim expansion. After they gained territories back, Spain funded Christopher Columbus to take voyage on exploration of new lands to find his new route. If Spain had not reconquored their land, King Ferdinand and Queen Elizabeth II probably wouldn’t have funded Christopher, and that would've caused a huge delay in the discovery of the Americas.

7 Madrid, Spain Cites to See Important cites to visit in Madrid, Spain would include (left to right) #1 The Royal Palace #2 Puerto Del Sol Square #3 Prado Museum. These cites are important to the European exploration especially, because the Royal Palace is where the King and Queen were to grant Christopher Columbus money for his voyage, in which he discovered the Americas.

9 Reformation, Renaissance, and European Exploration in London During the Renaissance London played a role hugely due to their architecture, literature, and leadership. An encourager of the Renaissance in London was Queen Elizabeth I, and one of the great renaissance men were William Shakespeare. He played a huge role in London’s literature through his writing and techniques. Also, not to mention, London was apart of the English and Protestant Reformation, set aside their role in the Renaissance.

10 London, England Cites to See Important cites to view in London England would include (left to right) #1 Big Ben Tower #2 The Palace of Westminster #3 The London Eye. These three cites are all very important to London’s architecture, art and even renaissance.

11 Rome, Italy

12 Reformation, Renaissance, and European Exploration in Rome Rome was apart of the Counter Reformation as well as the Protestant Reformation, and this created a strong influence on the transformation of Rome. Also, the renaissance was another influence on Rome, they honored their great architecture as well as many other things during this time.

13 Rome, Italy Cites to See Important cites to view in Rome, Italy include (from left to right) The Colosseum, The Pantheon, and the sculpture of David created by Michelangelo. These are all important to the renaissance and reformation in Rome, because it shows the skill they gained during the renaissance through architecture as well as their preservance of the Pantheon.

14 Lisbon, Portugal

15 Reformation, Renaissance, and European Exploration in Lisbon During the 15 th, 16 th and 17 th centuries, the Portuguese Renaissance which much included the cultural and artistic movement in Portugal, coincided with the Spanish and Italian Renaissances. The coinciding brought a wide view to the entire European Renaissance during this time. Portugal's contribution to the renaissance included much of arts, fine arts, music and warfare.

16 Lisbon, Portugal Cites to See Important cites to view in Lisbon, Portugal include (left to right) #1 The Chiado which is the statue of a poet named Antonio Ribeiro #2 Parque das Nacoes #3 Mosteiro Dos Jeronimos. These three cites are important to the renaissance of Lisbon, because it shows the development of art, literature, and architecture during the renaissance.
