4MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTSStrategic roadmap: Piloted the team in designing a strategically focused roadmap for the business catering to all aspects of sales & distribution, retention, cost optimization, optimum use of capital, maximising shareholders’ wealth with having industry best practices, quality business book, the lean organisation structure, focused sales (Bancassurance) model leading to higher embedded value for the shareholders.Governance framework: Instrumental in setting-up the robust governance framework in the Company at the start of the business. The Governance and Risk Management framework set up in the Company, was completely aligned to the regulatory framework as prescribed by IRDA.Change Management: As a CFO, I have been able to steer the Company’s performance through the period of constant changes and improve Company’s market raking from 18 to 8th position within few years of business, in a market dominated by about 24 big multinational and PSU players.

Draft standard operating procedures for all key processes from Day 1, implementation of Peoplesoft as core financial system, clean and satisfactory multiple audits with HSBC Group Audit, Process and Control audit by one of the Big 4 firms, Risk Management Audit, regular Concurrent Audit of Investment function, Internal Audits and Statutory audits are some of the examples where Finance has demonstrated strong integrity and controlsPeople: Leveraging Talent in the Workplace begins with the vision from the leadership team.
