General Objectives Learn and understand: (1)The concept of health care delivery system in hospitals, therapeutic Committee and Hospital Formulary (2)Scope of pharmacy services in hospitals (3)Organizational structure and Facilities of pharmacy services in hospitals and (4) Systems for medications' storing, distribution and delivery to the patients. Then develop the gained knowledge in improving services in the different hospital settings

4. Learn and understand: (1)How to deal with parenterals with special focus on sites of injections, their types and large volume parenterals? (2)Concepts of Intravenous and Enteral fluids with special focus on equipment for administrations, types and clinical uses, (3)Intravenous admixtures; procedures involve the addition of one or more IV drugs to LVP. (4)Techniques of admixture preparation avoiding incompatibility, contamination and maintaining stability.

5. (5) TPN; concepts, nutrition and caloric requirements, role of each ingredient, techniques and procedures of administration.
