1 THE 2013 SOUNDSURFER WATERMAN’S CHALLENGE New England’s ONLY WPA Sanctioned National Race SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES

2 Soundsurfer is a charitable organization dedicated to protecting two of our future’s most precious resources - our children, and our natural water resources. In 2011 Soundsurfer held it’s first Stand up Paddling event. We started with 20 paddlers the first year with a number of great sponsors. Last year, 109 paddlers raced in the event, and we were supported by nearly 40 sponsors and a ton of great volunteers and donors, all of whom helped us raise over $21,000 for charity. All of the funds that Soundsurfer raises goes directly to the charities. Not a dime is spent on labor- the great people that run our event (and there are many) are volunteers. Once again, the Soundsurfer Waterman’s Challenge will be the North East region’s “national race”, meaning that it serves as a direct qualifier for the World Championships in the fall of 2013. Soundsurfer partners with F.O.C.U.S. (For our Children’s Unlimited Success), a 501 c(3) non profit organization, in order to make these goals a reality. This year’s Waterman’s Challenge will directly support the following organizations: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Harborwatch/Earthplace F.O.C.U.S. One other children’s focused charity, yet to be named We hope that you will join us as a paddler, sponsor, volunteer, and/or guest!
