2 Mercury (Esther) Mercury sort of looks like the surface of our moon. Daytime on Mercury can reach up to 800 F. On the other side of Mercury it drops down to -300 F.

3 Venus (Zeba) After the moon the brightest object in the night sky is Venus. Venus is the first star to appear at sunset in the western sky and last fade in sunrise in eastern sky. Venus is the second planet from the sun.

4 Earth (Melissa) Earth is 93 million miles away from the sun. People live on the planet. There are millions of people on earth.

5 Mars (Jonathon) Mars is 14 million miles from the sun. Mars looks like a bright star. Mars is the god of war.

6 Jupiter (Fred) Jupiter is 484 million miles from the sun. Jupiters moons might have aliens It is more than one and a half times bigger then the other 8 planets.

7 Saturn (Jessica) Saturn is the second largest planet. Saturn is 887 million miles from the sun Saturn’s ring is wide but not thick.

8 Neptune (Carlos) It is 2.8 billion miles from the sun. Neptune is the 8th planet from the sun. A gas giant about the same size as Uranus.

9 Uranus (Rafael) Uranus is the seventh planet. Scientists discovered in 1781 Has 27 moons

10 Pluto (Jaquelin) Pluto is the farthest planet from the sun. It has one moon called Charon. Pluto’s orbit is different from other planets.
