14 Initial reactions & recommendations Membership Portal / myIEEE 2004 REVIEW Just wanted to give a thumbs up on the myIEEE site. I think that it really has a modern and appealing look to it … Good job to everyone who worked on it!! - Bob Tulevski (volunteer) I spent 15 minutes in MyIEEE, and it really is an extraordinary resource because at a glance I saw my membership status and the alternatives to update and improve my membership … It's design lets anyone manage his/her membership, understand and know the options IEEE offers to members. - Francisco Martinez (volunteer) First off, THANK YOU!!! … This is an excellent product and is going to answer several of the issues we have out in the field. Great job. - John Wright (volunteer) The new membership site seems to be a condensed area to retrieve/retain/store info that is pertinent to each particular member. The general IEEE website is so vast, and all-inclusive, it is almost too busy. At least with myIEEE you can attempt to store only those items of pertinence to your own profession, section, or area of interest. Keep up the good work. Now I'd like to ask a favor. I previously set up an account on the original "vast" IEEE website, but I have since changed computers, changed buildings and jobs, and have lost my contact information and account/access info. Can you assist me in getting reconnected and maybe I can store my profile data in the new "myIEEE" area... Thank you, Dick Kabell, P.E. IEEE Member # Dick Kabell, P.E.

15 Initial reactions & recommendations (cont) Membership Portal / myIEEE 2004 REVIEW I have visited the membership portal and was unable to find the details of my membership including: 1) Dates of current membership 2) Details of my current membership in societies and associations. The listing under memberships does not provide me with any details regarding publications, publication format, etc. 3) Membership in Digital Library 4) Membership in Computer Society "Books Online" It would seem to be a simple matter to provide the level of detail that is available on my renewal subscription so I am assuming I must have missed something. Your assistance in how to use the site to obtain the above information will be appreciated. Regards, Jack Harrington Sr. Director Integrated Solutions Cardiac and Monitoring Systems Philips Medical Systems
