They were prepared and watched They thought they were in a safe situation, until it was too late. They probably thought that the wise virgins were probably too zealous!

4. We must be Prepared! But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Justification by faith comes by obedience to God (Matt 7:21) “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”(Matt 7:21) “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

To Be Prepared we Must Live Faithfully and Watch (2 Peter 1:5-9) “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 16. Temperance Self-ControlSelf-Control –Christians must be able to control themselves –(James 4:7) “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Patience ContentmentContentment –Content with what we have –Content with our present situation (James 1:2-4) “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
