Erasmus University Charter Application workshop Input informed by: Hands-on involvement in European and international projects and activities since 1989; Experience as Head of Department of European & International Programmes at Scotlands largest college of further & higher eductaion from 1996 to 2002; Head of Socrates team at Technical Assitsance Office, in Brussels, from 2002 to 2006; Work as Commission/EACEA "expert" for Erasmus, Grundtvig, EQF, Culture, Accompanying Measures since 2006 to present; Role as sector representative on UK NAs Advisory Groups, Scottish Bologna Stakeholders Group, SCQF Partnership, Scottish INTERREG Forum; Being Council Member of EURASHE (European Association of Institutions in Higher Education)

Outline future plans for transnational cooperation in context of LLP and link these to work done so far. Describe their arrangements for promoting transnational mobility. List quality procedures to support transnational activities. Make specific mention of policies to combat inequality. Promote benefits of formal recognition. Make reference to Bologna.
