Work of the Technical Advisory Group TAG formed in April Steering Committee tasked it to define Part 1 (what to publish) and Part 4 (code of conduct) by end 2009 Multi-stakeholder group, open to all, now over 100 members Wide consultation process First meeting in Brussels in June First draft papers out for consultation in August Revised drafts at TAG meeting in London 2-3 Sept Second drafts for consultation in September Steering Committee discussion 30 September Third drafts at Conference – consultation open to 30 October Steering Committee 30 November in Paris Work in 2010 to complete definitions, agree data format and address accessibility
Broader consultation/information gathering Partner country consultations CSO consultations Fact finding missions to UK, World Bank, Netherlands and Germany Pilots in Burkina Faso and Malawi
Criteria for What Will Publish Focus on partner countries Phased implementation Proactive publication Support implementing agencies to apply standards Full use of existing standards – international and country Customise to country requirements (e.g. budget classification) Flexibility to update over time Focus on larger flows, using thresholds to balance costs/benefits Multiple document formats, but standardise data within them

Questions for Breakout Group 1 Does the paper aim at right level of ambition? Does the list of what is to be published meet the needs outlined in partner country and CSO consultations and discussed on Day 1 of conference? Are there any information items that should not be included? Why? Are there any information items missing? What and Why? Are there any items that should be in earlier or late phases? How to treat information jointly owned by donors and partners?

Group 5: How to make IATI information accessible Reports back will: –help finalise what will publish, code of conduct –Inform further pilots in 2010 and implementation of IATI beyond.
