ITIS Majorana Brindisi Chemistry course The effects of human activity on the ecosystem Teacher Gioacchino Margarito
Nature as an inseparable whole Nature is not only the species that inhabit particular ecosystems. It is an ever-changing system in which these organisms are connected with each other.
Ecosystem The Earth behaves as a single self-regulating system that includes physical, chemical, biological and human components. James Lovelock Water cycle
Do households affect the ecosystems? How do families affect the ecosystems? When considering the negative effects of humans on the natural environment, we usually think of the huge industrial plants, transport or the chemical industry. Few people realize that their own households also pollute the natural environment.
This is the price we must pay to live in a comfortable way
Floods – nature's revenge? In the climate and geographical conditions of Europe, the flooding of rivers is a natural phenomenon that has occured regularly every year for the past 10.000–12.000 years. Flooding of a creek due to heavy monsoonal rain and high tide in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
Ecosystem conservation Some ecosystems are best conserved by leaving them alone. This is known as passive conservation. However, other ecosystems are best protected and maintained by active conservation, which enables people to continue using the area in the same way
