Loyalty is Needed to Stand for Truth Loyalty is: Faithful allegiance and the feeling of personal devotion one holds to something or someone. To be faithful, steady, or constant in allegiance or affection toward. Faithful to ones oath or obligation to support, protect, and defend.

Our Highest Loyalty Our highest loyalty, allegiance, and defense must be to Truth because Jesus is the Truth. For we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8). If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus (Ephesians 4:21). …, I am the way, the truth, and the life… (John 14:6).

We Must Stand For The Truth "Those who stand for nothing fall for anything." -- Alexander Hamilton

Why Some Do Not Stand They mistakenly believe that truth shouldnt be fought for and needs no defense. …it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 3). But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel (truth) ( Philippians 1:16). Defense – an answer or speech made in defense of

Why Some Do Not Stand Some are afraid to stand up for the truth. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1: 7).

Why Some Do Not Stand Others hold to a false view of biblical unity. Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body…. (Ephesians 4: 3-6).

Why Some Do Not Stand They do not have sufficient love of the truth. …because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie (2 Thessalonians 2: 10, 11).

Why Some Do Not Stand They cannot stand the thought of possible family (or friend) rejection. 34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me Matthew 10:34-37.

Why Some Do Not Stand They view standing for the truth as unloving. (Love) Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6). And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11). " But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him in all things, which is the head even Christ ( Ephesians 4:15).

Why Some Do Not Stand They do not realize they become a partaker in another persons sin with their silence or consent. … neither be a partaker of other mens sins: keep thyself pure (1 Timothy 5:22). neither - not even; not once; not so much as partaker - share with others; - make oneself a partner; - to enter or come into communion or fellowship; - to join oneself as an associate - communicate

Why Some Do Not Stand They do not realize to be passive or silent when you should fight for or defend someone is disloyalty. Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood (Jeremiah 47:10).

Why Some Do Not Stand They fear reproach, persecution, or being associated with those who have been talked against. … fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings (Isaiah 51:7). Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and, partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used (Hebrews 10: 33).

Why Some Do Not Stand They are unwilling to risk any possible repercussions of a stand for the truth. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men (Acts 5: 29).

Why Some Do Not Stand They are ashamed of the Gospel. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel…For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ (Romans 1: 15, 16).

Why Some Do Not Stand They lack knowledge about the Bible truth of separation. 1 Corinthians 15:33 33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 2 Corinthians 6: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Why Some Do Not Stand The danger of compromise doesnt seem great while the cost of obedience seems too high or demanding. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump 1 Corinthians 6:5. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much Luke 16:10.

Why Some Do Not Stand They do not know how to say no in order to make a stand for truth and what is right. Practice this: No, thats not right. No, Im not going to do that. No, the Word of God says…

Why Some Do Not Stand They have no courage but act like jellyfish. 1.It has no backbone 2.The prevailing currents carry it 3.Its only defense is its sting Dont be a jellyfish Christian!

When We Take A Stand, We Can Inspire Others To Do The Right Thing
