2 Try this A 100-Ω transmission line is connected to a load consisting of a 100-Ω resistor in series with a 10pF capacitor with 100Mhz signal. Find the reflection coefficient, VSWR, lmin, lmax and Zin at 1.23ʎ. Z L = R + j  L ; Z L = R -1/ j  C

3 Assignment (by group) You would like to connect a 50 Ω cable wire to 25 + j20 Ω load antenna for Thailand TV reception. Design a matching network by using series short circuited stub and then : Illustrate a complete matching network schematic diagram. The operation frequency is at 1 GHZ and transmission line dielectric constant, Ɛ r = 2.2. Evaluate the d line, d stub in meter, reflection coefficient and VSWR. (Use Z Smith Chart).

4 Re-evaluate (a) (i) by considering second solution on a new Z Smith chart. Compare which solution is economical to fabricate on microstrip printed copper board, first solution in (a) (i) or second solution in (a) (ii) and discuss the reasons.
