Location, location... Nepal is located in Southern Asia, in between China and India.

Such good neighbours... Nepal is sandwiched between India, China, Bangladesh and Bhutan.

And a good neighbourhood too... The capital of Nepal is Kathmandu. Some of the other major cities are: Pokhara, Patan, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Dharan, Bazar, Bharatpur, Janakpur, Dhangarhi and Butwal (he he).

Me no speaky your langige The majority of people in Nepal speak Nepalese, the native language. About nine other dialects are also spoken, including English.

It’s a small world... The population of Nepal is approximately: 28,951,852

Here’s your change... The Nepalese currency is Rupees. 1 Rupee equals $0.02 dollars... And $1 dollar equals 50 Rupees!!

Says who?!... The current leader of the country of Nepal is: Madhav Kumar Nepal

Oooh...Paparazzi... Probably the most famous people from Nepal are the Sherpas. You know... those guys who help you climb Mount Everest? Oh never mind...

I find that very hard to believe... The religions in Nepal are: 80.6% - Hinduism... 10.7% - Buddhism... 4.2% - Islamic... 3.6% - Mindhum... 0.5% - Christianity... And 0.4% - Other.

And to finish... Just a couple of things to look out for: Mount Everest, it’s 8,848 metres high ( you won’t miss it ) ! Nepalese prayer flags, brightly colored flags covered in friendly words. Communication problems?... No worries!: Greetings/Farewells: Namaste ( na-mar- stay).
